GEDA commissions 200/11KVA power transformer, new office complex

The General Electrical Dealers Association (GEDA) of Alaba International Market has commissioned its new office and a 200/11KVA power transformer.
According to the Chairman GEDA, Mr. Felix Nwagu, who also doubles as the President of Alaba Amalgamated Traders Association, the epileptic power supply in the section and the entire economic district of the largest market in West Africa has been an issue of concern to the traders.
He lamented the power problem, which has immensely affected traders’ profitability in the market and so, his administration has vowed to bring lasting solution on the matter, hence, the provision of 200/11KVA transformer.
Nwagu informed the audience at the commissioning ceremony that GEDA was able to finance the project through internally generated revenue, emphasising that no trader within the section was levied for the transformer.
While appreciating contributions made by individuals towards the projects, he specifically commended the contributions of his predecessor, Chief Uche Igwe, and the Grand Patron, Chief Tony Faith Ojike.
The Chairman also reaffirmed his commitment to the traders in his section to handover a developed and well equipped GEDA to the next set of executives in the section, adding that his administration on November 4, 2017, will give way to new executives in order to uphold the constitution of GEDA.
He, however, warned that his administration would not tolerate premature electioneering campaigns, to avoid distractions.
